There is a world of opportunities in the work place, yet looking at the future from where you're standing can be a daunting prospect if you don't know what to do or how to get there.

The three stages of career counselling

Job search and career management in the 21st century require more thorough preparation than ever before.  At Career by Design, a three stage approach is used:

Stage One: Who am I?
Stage Two: What do I want and how do I get there?
Stage Three: How do I market myself?

My committment to understanding the skills, aptitudes and interests of each client, combined with very practical tools and advice to manage selection and assessment processes, ensures that clients are better equipped to enter the job market.

How it works...

Career counselling is conducted through a series of one-to-one meetings, usually lasting an hour each, in which use is made of questionnaires*, self-appraisal exercises, discussion and interview practice.

Typically, clients have four to five one-hour career counselling meetings though this is dependent on individual needs, which are discussed at the outset.

* The option to use Saville Consulting's Wave Personality Questionnaire is available.
